Light a Candle
It is with a heavy heart that we report the sudden and unexpected passing of our dear brother Kevin, who recently died in his California home from natural causes. The second oldest of the four Toomey boys, Kevin was always the life of the party, bringing his smile, humour, and distinctive panache to every occasion. He was passionate about music, politics and religion, and he loved the country he spent 18+ years defending as a distinguished member of the US Air Force (including service in the Gulf War, and teaching at the Air Force Academy in Denver, CO). He certainly had a bumpy life, but then those experiences are where so much of his wisdom came from. Amongst his many talents was a gift for eloquent writing, marked by an enviable command of vocabulary. If you knew Kevin, I am sure you appreciated his strong sense of humor, intellect, and giving nature. He will certainly be missed by his three remaining brothers: Dan, John, & Michael.
